Monte Carlo Inn Barrie - Newly Renovated, Barrie

The hotel has a convenient location close to downtown and the waterfront, making it ideal for exploring nearby attractions. The dining experience was underwhelming, with simple offerings in a paper bag. The rooms needed improvement due to overlooking a parking lot and cleanliness issues.

Upon arrival, the hotel felt freezing cold, but turning on the old-fashioned heater quickly warmed up the room. The bright room was conveniently located near the ice and vending machines, bar/restaurant, and the exit door. The staff was lovely, offering a reduction in the rate and providing a portable cot for our stay. The non-stop slamming and noise throughout the night disrupted our sleep, making it challenging to rest.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were a good size and very clean, but the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the hot weather. The service was generally accommodating, especially considering my wife's wheelchair needs, but they were very strict on certain issues.
